Hi everyone,
Just registered and this is my first post. I have the opportunity to purchase a 1998 M3 sedan with a 5 speed manual and about 56,000 miles. It appears to be in good shape, a one owner, non-smoker, older gentlemen, but I haven't had the opportunity to drive it yet. I'll do that in the next week or so. It was traded in for a new domestic vechicle and is being sold by the dealer. Asking price is 21,500, which according to KBB and Edmunds, appears to be in the ballpark of the cars value.
My questions are, what can I expect to pay for the soon to be reached 60k mile service check? Less than 60k miles seems to be awfully low, around 10k miles per year. Body appears straight and per the photos I've seen, doesn't appear to have any discernable damage or dings. What is a typical service check cost at a BMW dealership? Any specific issues concerning that model year?
This would be my first BMW purchase and I want to cross the t's and dot the i's before signing on the bottom line. Thanks for the help.
Bruce
