Looking at a 97 M3 and it is in excellent condition. All service papers and what not. Thing is it had a cracked head. The guy furnished papers totaling up to $5000 to have a new head professionally replaced. He also did a new clutch. The car has 95K miles in it. The car checks out- no leaks or excessive wear. The major work was done 10K ago. He says every little noise, grumble, or problem was taken to BMW to fix (really does have papers for every little thing). Should I stay away from it, considering the cracked head??? Its a shame, otherwise this thing looks MINT and pulls strong.. what to do?
