load testing, we do it all the time, especially with nitrous testing, thats how you test the strength of the tranny, its under the most load there...thus the term load testing

Why? i have done it, just proved the tranny wasnt strong enough for the power i was making, so you tear it apart and beef it up, then load test it again...if it doesnt brake, then it wont while you are driving it around...

this was the load test on my bug when i had my stroker in it...5th gear(yes i had a berg 5 speed box woot) 5th gear 50mph and WOT with 150shot....if it broke, it wasnt strong enough, repeat with the other gears....but the final gear gets the most load along with 1st and second cause of launch broke 6 gears total till i got it right, ended up with forged and Cryo'd 1st, 2nd and 5th those are the gear that kept breaking

i did, i had to beef it up more...i was making 320whp with the 150 shot in a car that originally made 50 whp...wasnt that easy, kinda like making 1000hp in a car that originally made 200whp...you can guess all you want but id rather it break on a dyno than on a track or on the street...

i only used 150shot on dyno, too scared to use it on street/track. I was at 200whp NA without boost and i could get the front end off the ground in first and second and ran 12's with full interior 1600lbs FTW

the engine set my father and i back about $10k the rare berg 5 speed trans i scored was beat to hell and tired and i got it for $3k then build it up from there...not cheap cars to work on for sure...the Dual 48 DelOrttos were another sweet find....man...cubic dollars in the car, but i sold that motor now and she went to stock resto after getting stolen and stripped
