your turbo transitions at 4k? mine transitioned at like 8k and actually went into the negative hp for a second. It's like getting thrown into reverse.

just kidding, , yes when my white car was stock it transitioned at 4.5k and the black is almost about the same and its an auto , but i have it running on parrallel. But runs very very strong. Basically both spool at the same time, so the power is more graduall instead of the spike from the 1st turbo kicking in to the second one and have instant traction issues. But i think your old car had some issues , i never seen any MKIV have that kind of transitioning at 8k and be "normal" , thats sounded like some VSV issues. As a matter of fact the T-70 on the white car spools at about 5k and thats reasonable for a turbo with a A/R of.70 in and out.
Oh by the way the white car has been sooold!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually mine transitioned at around 3700rpm or so. I picked up the primary at around 3k.

.70 A/R spooling at 5k? Hmmm well its a good thing its sold now.
Well its a top end turbo,
but a really perfect matched high spooling turbine with out the top end crazyiness would be a t-61 with a decent size a/r. Theres was no problem with the white car spooling at 5k, but i had the gearing for it, so i really wouldnt run out of gearing as to say. But i would like to really match the turbine to the motor and make it more efficient, im not really looking for ungodly numbers.I want something that i can live and dirve everyday and still lay down some decent mid 500's. And there is buy, right now i cant play to much, i have other things that are more important. Plus i dont really miss the car, its jst a car thats it. Im glad i have a house and a wife , thats all that matters, and believe me , its going to get harder for me to have time for my hobbies once my wife starts spitting out babies next year ! lol!
But that car really was a beast. Its time for me to move on, and it wont be long enought till i sell the black car too. My goals for getting a Lotus Elise are getting farther and farther. Oh well.
