Wow, this thread is still going 2 years later. Well I figured I would just give alittle update on the car and some new mods. You know how it is....I cant stop.

M5 Clutch Kit - NEW
Schrick FI Cams - NEW
Boost Gauge - NEW
AFR Gauge -NEW

Pioneer AVIC-Z1 7" LCD Head Unit - NEW
Pioneer TV Tuner Module w/ Antennas
Microvision 5.6" LCD's mounted BOTH Headrests

If anybody has any questions about the mods, feel free to ask!

Ill try and get some new pics up soon...I just need some time to get her all cleaned up pretty!!

After I had my cams installed by AA my boost guage is showing -20 at idle and at full 6500 RPM it just barely hits 1. Im guessing a vacuum leak, but any suggestiions would be helpful. Im definetely getting boost thoigh, I can feel it!

Thanks!!

Are you saying you've got some power loss or is it primarily just inaccurate reading on the boost gauge?

I dont feel any power loss, when I hit about 4000 RPM I feel the boost kicking in, unless those cams made one hell of a differance.

I thoght with a vacuum leak I would see either small needle movement or none at all. Before I had the gauge I did have a vacuum line come loose and noticed when I let off the gas after WOT I could hear some fluttering in the SC, which I do hear now.

Im not very familiar with vacuum system so its tough for me troubleshoot, but I have check all the lines I could physically see under the hood.

Thanks for your help!

If I had first hand experience with working on a s/c car i'd be better help. I'll ask my friends what are common problems from your symptoms. Which blower are you using? My friends work with Vortech V1's and V2's but i'm sure the basic principle behind the cf sc is there.

He might have had an automatic. And I thought all the 5 speed tranny's from 95+ were the same ZF gearbox?

I kept having problems with E46 5 speed (I never had an auto). The first one would always grind going in to 2nd gear (probably my fault, I can get on it pretty hard sometimes), so I swapped for another one. Then that one started making some pretty hard clunking noises. I brought it in to AA and they actually recommended going with the E36 M3 tranny because it can handle more HP then the E46 325 tranny.

To tell you the truth I really love it too. Its definelety not a downgrade! I can switch alot faster with it and feels tougher then the E46, havent had any problems with it. The only thing I can say that isnt the best is switching into 2nd gear at 7000 RPM, it deosnt like that so I have to let those syncs line up, but we are talking a fraction of a second on that.

Thanks for your help M Power, AA installed my blower which is a Vortec..not sure about the V1/V2. It was put in about 2-3 years ago.
