I don't really know much about cars but I wanted to get my brother in law a gift for his birthday and he is a big BMW fan. He also just started working at a BMW dealership so I wanted to get him an impact wrench for home or work because I know he's been wanting one. I just ordered the ingersoll rand 231c 1 2-inch super duty air impact wrench and I wanted to make sure that this appropriate for him. He has a BMW M3, not sure the year, so would this wrench be compatible with his car? I don't know if I'm giving you the right information but hopefully I can get some more info. I just wanna make sure the tool will be useful to him. I know there are 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch wrenches so i wasn't quite sure what the difference was and if it was necessary to get him a larger one. Again, I really don't know much about cars!
