Well, I finally pulled the trigger and bought the B90 tool to do the bearings on all my BMW's. (the right way) To be honest, I thought that I was getting ripped off, as I've hardly ever seen the tool for less than $250. (of course, the moment I hit transmit at BavAuto, I remember Pelican Parts. They have it for 220ish, but no free shipping)
Today it came.
Holy crap. I had no idea. First off, after I ordered it, I checked the tracking, and it said my package was 29lbs... (!) I was wondering if they were just sending me a lifetime supply of catalogs. Whatever. Then I opened the box and there was this big plastic box holding the tool (for the pros in the business I guess) Anyways, I wanted to show you guys because it just blows my damn mind.
U2 CD for perspective.
I might set up rental for this thing, after I use it on all my cars.
and I will do a step by step DIY.

Not quite sure what fags have to do with tools...I was expecting either Graham Norton holding a wrench or a pack of Marlboros with a hammer...coffin nails, y'know...
NICE tool kit! Don't worry 'bout the thread title. When I read it, I fully expected to read text referring to German FAG bearings. I've worked as a air cooled Volkswagen/Porsche mechanic, parts counter at shops and VW/Porsche + Audi dealers, and also Service Advisor at said dealers. FAG bearings are the staple of German cars... period.
Now... go put that bearing tool to use and enjoy!
