I think that when I get a cool 50 grand, I'm either getting a Z06 or an M3. The Z06 is the one hunk of american metal that I have respect for. I'd be a lot more favorable towards it if I didn't associate the asshole with the mullet with Corvettes.
Does anyone know the specs on that biatch? I remember it pulled 1G on the skidpad, and its 1320 is in the mid 12s, but 0-60? Weight distribution?
...Damn. :
Sorry all you M3 fans! I love them too... ghead

Totally know the specifications of it! Before I started liking BMW's, the Corvette's and Aston Martin's were my favorite cars(that is, like I said, until I met the M5, which eventually made me awe at the M3.) K, here it is...
0-60 4.0seconds
0-100 9.5seconds
1/4 12.5secs@115mph
Topspeed 171mph
Weight 3118
Weight Distribution: 53%/47%
Peace

Hey, didn’t they do that with bmw too?...
There’s a difference though...
Ford’s problem is they can’t perform...
Bimmer’s problem is they do it too well!
Go sit in one. The 6 speed shifter is huge throw, unacceptable,j 5th and 6th gears are almost impossible to find, unacceptable, Everything shoddy plastic like a chevy malibu, unacceptable, Placement of pedals (cant accelerate and break at same time pedals to far appart) unacceptable. Its a dragster. Its not a car.

I live my life one quarter mile at a time, and for those 23 or more seconds I'm free.
corvette makes me sick to look at. It looks nasty, and thats just the outside. The inside looks like a 1972 honda civic dx with no air conditioning. The plastic and overall poverty-reminding-me-of interior is just a trademark of american cars... Very poor quality, and I would never want to be seen in that heap. The only respectable car that was assembled on american soil is the 69 dodge charger r/t. Everything else, well... is made in america......
american trash? thats why the Ford GT outperforms everything on the planet besides the Enzo, and its american. the dodge viper? will trash any BMW you throw at it. American cars are made to specific tastes, just like evry other car on the planet. Euros are made for handling and finesse for the most part, and american cars are made for straight lines for the most part. Of course theirs exceptions to every rule. But watch out for the new C6, cuz not only do they have ridiculously nice interior and handling and power to match any bimmer.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I agree the interior is not up to Euro specs but at least it wont smell like nasty horse hair in 5yrs
You can hate all you want but find me a Euro car that can even come close to competing with a Z06 in the same price range..... I don't mean just straight line either

^^ LOL
Almost every write up ever done on the C5/Z06 gave it excellent marks for ease of driving in "sprited" or full out race mode. In Auto X my C5 performed admirably except for the crappy blad runflat tires I was equipt with. I had so little body roll that the car felt like it was gliding flat around corners. Till I lost it going straight
1st to 2nd gear with no TQ managment is not fun on crap tires.
I agree. Go to corvetteforum and watch some vids of the C5's and Z06's reeling in M3's, Cobras and 911's with ease on road courses. $44k for a new Z06 with no mods. $55k for the M3, $80k minimum for a 911. Hell, another $10k in mods and you're looking at 550 to 750+rwhp and it's still cheaper than the M3.

corvettes are fast ive ssen one with like 50k of mods int it and it ripped still not as fast as a c5r though those things kill but an m3 with 50k of mods in it would be just as fast or faster but those extra 2 cylinders help alot though and handiling is superb
