Worst Night Of My Life

ghead ..... so anywase is was about 10 at night back in august this last year. i was just crusin around with some friends and had to drop one off. so now it was just me and my G/f so we started to have a little fun when a first gen supra came up behine me and rode my ass. so i was gonna be polite and let him pass ( didnt want to be a dick with my girl in the car.) as i let him pass he slows down and revs right next to me and takes off. so what do i do? i take off after him, we are racing down a bunch neighborhoods, as we go down a very very windy road ( snake hill) i took him and passed him in an on coming lane. as we get to the bottom.... thinking he would admit he was owned....... he takes off again.... so i chase again. ans i pass him on a straight away at about 115 mph. and continue on my journey of owning this ass hole im slowing down just to let him catch up... when he catches up i take off again and try and take this turn thats about 45 mph turn. ( now the bad part ghead ) my back wheels unlock and im powersliding this turn but i panicked and over corrected and bounced into the guard rail..... after the guard rail F***ed up the side of my car the upcoming ditch was the next thing to take my car. The ditch came up pretty fast for still going over a 100.... my car hit the ditch and rode up the side after being smashed around through all the plants and little trees. in the end my car ended up on its side. i crawled out after pushing my Ex g/f out..The supra came by and laughed like anyone would obviously..... had a friend come and pick her up.... and then it was time for the cops.. that was quite a story for them.. and my dad... he went midevil on me.

but that was the night i f***ed up my M3... i now have rebuilt it and just got it back on the road about 3 weeks ago.. still running smooth with a couple of pannels replaced and a whole new front end on the car along with a new axle and 4 wheels and some under carrage. about 4500 in damages. but the car is back and running strong

a 45mph turn at 100mph? well i cant object to that or oppose because i have done 15mph turns at 65..but besides the fact, you thought you could drive your M3, then you crashed it...

what kind of M3 was it?

either way, that blows, and i would have laughed also, no offence, but to see someone f'up an M3 that they DIDNT know how to control...makes me think in the first place why they have the M3, but im not here to rag on you. you have your reasons why you have it, and im not here to say you shouldnt have it.

I make a point of only racing if I'm driving alone. Maybe you should do the same? IMO it isn't the fact that you crashed the m3 that is the worst loss (by the way, if you got frame damage, that car'll never be the same - as I'm sure you know), so much that you put your girlfriend's life on the line because of pride. That's stupid.

I think that the three stupidest things were:

1. racing in a neighborhood

2. Racing when GF is in the car

3. Taking off next to the guy the third time, at that point your ownage was established, no need for a 3rd race.

yeah the only time iwill race with anyone in the car is if its a race i know i wouldnt get again for a while.. otherwise its yeah whatever you guys are cool let them go by and get on there forum and tell everyone they beat an m3 that night (because you know on most other forums every e36 is an m3 hahaha) anyways sorry about your car!! you should go to a local track and take an ovice driving school thing, im getting ready to, guess it really helps, and plus you can drive fast and not get in trouble, whats not to love!!

i will drive fast with friends in the car, but i have never raced someone with another person in the car, and by race, i mean driving to my full extent, although i have 'raced' someone with a friend in the car, i wasnt pushing it that hard, i can drive fast and safely at the same time, i would never put my self or anyone else in danger, nor would i try to do something i have never done before ESPECIALLY with someone in the car with me.

man that really bites. crashing ure M. a damn M. thats my dream car. but how did ure parents respond? they still let u drive? and how about the car? how does it feel now? and im surprised that for going that speed u only had 4500 in damages.

sorry to hear about your M3

Last winter (Dec 03) I hydroplaned in my M3 on the higway (US-64) going about 75, went into the center divider trunk first, swiveled and slammed the front left into it, airbags went off.....Next thing I remember are blue strobe lights all around....

At least we both have M3's that save their drivers....

In the end i was sore, but the $46,000 check made me feel a little better...

Dude, a chase is a race. You made the decision. At least you're an adult about it and taking responsibility for your actions.
