Im going to the gas station( have good amount of gas left, like 1 gallon), and I am in second gear, come around a corner, then I floor it, and take it to 6200(not redline)
spiff, you kinda answered your own question.
1st. 1 gallon of gas is not good
2nd. 6200rpm(not redline but damn near it!!)
3rd. if u have so little gas, why r u flooring it? (i know i do it too, but its bad, very, very bad.)
when u floor it, gas moves around ALOT! w/so little in ur tank, the pump couldnt suck any up till u sat still for a while and the gas stopped sloshing @. it is recommended that you don't let ur tank get so low because u can/will damage the fuel pump that way. the pumps need lubrication to work properly and unless they are greased with pump grease before they are installed (rarely the case) that get the lube from the gas. no gas=no lube.
yes kevin, i said LUBE!!!!
wait... how is your alternator?!?!?! mine did that once, right before it DIED. it did the same thing, then worked again perfect for a little bit, then poop, dead. just an idea....
its probably one of maybe 10 different things, good luck
