OKay, so Im going to the gas station( have good amount of gas left, like 1 gallon), and I am in second gear, come around a corner, then I floor it, and take it to 6200(not redline), but the rpms drop real fast somehow and go to like 200 and just stay there, and I have like absolutely no throttle response. so I slow and try and coast as far as possible, I can put it back in gear, it downshifts, but no rev matching cuz no throttle, the throttle only moves up about 500 rpms then goes back down, so I come to a stop and im sorta feathring the throttle and its barely moving, then I sorta hold it down for a sec and it goes up finally, and comes back to normal idling. no I have perfect response and back to normal.

what happened? did something go wrong with the injection? what should I do? it runs fine now, but it was really odd.

I couldnt go anymore, I could just coast, but I could go into gear fine, clutch and tranny was fine. Its just like the injection was really bad for a sec or something, its like I lost all throttle response and gas to the engine, yet, it didnt shut down...

spiff, you kinda answered your own question.

1st. 1 gallon of gas is not good
2nd. 6200rpm(not redline but damn near it!!)
3rd. if u have so little gas, why r u flooring it? (i know i do it too, but its bad, very, very bad.)

when u floor it, gas moves around ALOT! w/so little in ur tank, the pump couldnt suck any up till u sat still for a while and the gas stopped sloshing @. it is recommended that you don't let ur tank get so low because u can/will damage the fuel pump that way. the pumps need lubrication to work properly and unless they are greased with pump grease before they are installed (rarely the case) that get the lube from the gas. no gas=no lube.

wait... how is your alternator?!?!?! mine did that once, right before it DIED. it did the same thing, then worked again perfect for a little bit, then poop, dead. just an idea....
