I drove my car to town today to get some new tyres fitted as they wouldn't pass a WOF so I got my mate to do a cost price on some pretty flashy Kumo tyres, I didn't get out till late as we were having a yarn about everything as you do My brother and I finally got out and started on our way home we live about an hour away but I take a short cut usually knocks it bac to aroun 35-45m my personil best is 18m but I have never been close to that since, so I'm about half way through just at the speed limit behind these to dick heads that don't goe any faster than 45 around corners as I was getting closer to pass them a civic type R came flying up my ass!! very fast indeed, the two cars in front turned off and I opened her up on a small straight and absolutly flame grilled his ass, so I buttoned off and took things easy thinking that fingers have been burn't you know? and whats the point in carrying on? we went through a couple of bends casual I look in my rear vision mirror and he's gathering speed, so I started thinking "he may not of been trying before?" so I gave her all she had on a very long straght must of been close to 3-4km long by half way I had just over 200km on the needle with the civic about a bus lenght behind me, I'm still accerlerating and slowly but surely just pulling away from him I got to the end of the straght and there's two S bends I blew through them at about 225-230 with the little R civic about 2-3 bus lengths behind me I coninued to accellerate to about 235 I couldn't get much more than that but I started to leave him behind about the 220 mark anyway, "there was no way he was goin to pass me!" so I came to a hard up hill right turn I brecked rather late thinking that Mr Brembo would help me out in that regoin, it paid of as I driffted trough at high second keeping 6rpm or 120km up the hill changing to third and saying bye bye mis civic pie! he never had the torque to pull up the hill like me and then thrugh the double s bends round two tight corners and bac down the hill the next road he turned off, gave me alittle wave and I continued on my way, "at the speed limit"

note- I have never raced a civic type R before usually civcs struggle to do 190 but I was pleasanlty surprised that for once I raced a worthy oponent.? and won!

PS it WAS a type R because not only did it have the number plate TYPE R it had the wheels the body kit and unless he done some pretty extreme engine mods to a normal sir civic he had the speed of a type R.

Yea I know how embarrassing if I didn't win!
It wasn't the new shape but the previous, ?? probably about 98-99
I was talking to my cousin's boyfriend yesterday and he was saying that he has done some pretty mayjor work to his "sir" civic and although it is quick in a straight line as soon as he has to go up a slight hill his engines dies done cause it has little torque,

but all in all it wasn't that slow, I was pretty impressed with the little 4 banger's performance,"possibly could have had a guy that actually new how to drive behind the stearing wheel also?"
