SOLBERG & PEUGOT???? DUDE put down the crack pipe!! LOL jus given ya crap, Marcus Gronholm drives for peugot and loeb drives for citroen. as for them being equals, (sti and evo) NOT A CHANCE the evo is no where near the STI off road. I used to drive rallies here in the us and ran with an STI. Yes we do have rallies here. it was run by SCCA but now Rally America is who is in charge of ours.
Evos are not faster. here are the specs:

so as you can see the STI is not only faster but as we (rally guys) know the STI will certainly beat an EVO. I like the EVO but if i have a choice i am going STI. Now the driver has a lot to do with the race though. good car bad driver = loss.
I am a bit biased though as i raced STIs in my rallies. Can't argue with the facts though.
also don't always go by what the magazines say. you gotta member what these cars are made for. autoX an EVO will have the advantage but not in rally. These cars are made based off the WRC version as that is a requirement for the cars driven in the WRC. the companies must make a certain amount of their cars production worthy in order to use them for rallies.
