You ever find yourself turning the stereo off, rolling the windows down, and just listening to your exhaust? I find myself doing that quite regularly considering my somewhat forced impending separation of BMW and driver. the sound of that exhaust just rules the roost.

all the time the sound of 3.8 liters of big 6 at 7250rpm the bad thing is if I do it for to long the wind get to loud
I have a serious question here.....What is the big diffrence between the 93 525i exhaust and the 95 525i exhaust. The 93 exhaust just sounds so much nicer.

Yes, older cars do have that "note" about them. ALthough I do like the refined purr/snarl of the new m5/6 engine. What's the designation on that, by the way (500hp, <500 lbs torque, 5.0L v10)? m41875781? s520143679023?
My truck is the only vehicle I've ever encountered that makes the sound it makes after you spool it up and dump the rev's... it's like a monster growling down the street... probably has something to do with having so much displacement but i'd love to post a clip for you guys sometime

I know what you mean... the first "car" I drove was a pickup - that baby sounded like a very fat tiger when it was in low revs; compared to the snarl of a mountain lion that is bmw.

When did they redesign the 5 series? If a 95 and 93 are the same car, it should bolt up no problem, at least in theory. If the '95 is an E39 (I think that was the last 5 series) than you might have difficulty.
By the way, I do this a lot, when it's not pissing down rain over here, and even then, sometimes I do it just for the hell of having people give me weird looks in the rain. I love the feral snarl of the ETA at full-boil. It doesn't have the falsetto scream that the other sixes do, but it just sounds so gutsy around the 4500rpm limit... why would I need more?

Changed the car's name, now it's - Roxanne -1985 325e
Haha alrite, I thought I was the only one that listened to my exhaust when I'm driving, it sounds awesome! Especially when I just slam the gas and this amazing roar just surges the car forward, its beautiful! I can attribute a lot of this sweet sound to my corroded exhaust which deteriorated with excess backpressure and developed some holes...sounds great, I hope it doesn't lose this sound when I get an aftermarket exhaust...

put in a cherry bomb or boar out your own cat. To pass emissions just leave a 50 and a box of donuts in your car to pass emissions.
