My wife ( who drives my old 325i ) came home the other day and said "steve I've got a tyre problem." "What might that be?" I asked.
"Well I ran into a rice boy on the way home from work. He had put loads of work into his Pug 309 , you know , a spoiler the size of a tennis court , 25" wheels with black tape instead of tyres , a 9000 watt stereo that stalls the car every time you turn the sound up. So I really cane mine and suck his doors off , go through a couple of bends and roundabouts and halfway along I felt the car go really tail happy but I kept on until the ricer got more interested in his sound track than trying to catch me. Either that or he left his binoculars at home.
By the time I get home I looked at the rears. The right one still had just about legal tread but the left ... well ... it is kinda shiny."
"OK , let's have a look."
she's right the inner 2" of that tyre is showing more metal than Metallica and the rest of the rubber is none too healthy.
So on goes the spare and it's new rubber Monday ( already ordered ). The wife promises to go easier on the ricers.
Hope you got some new tires! If you have the money, you might want those Michelins. Way overpriced, but they last a lot longer as good performance tires than some of the other less pricey tires. I find myself biased to yokohama, pirelli, and kumho. Tell us what you end up getting!
If I were you, I'd buy her a newer BMW....if she likes the older 325i...an e46 325xi should be more fun, and she'd kill those ricers with the performance package too!
Can she drive a manual?
Or give her your e34 M5 and you should get an e39 M5!

E34 M5 > E39 M5. I know the E39 is faster, but the classic looks of the E34... Plus his is euro-spec... individual throttle bodies, right hand drive... beautiful
props to your wife for driving like that. do you have a daughter, because i would like to propose. :
