My Very First Accident - BMW Forum

ok, yesterday i got in my first accident, i am 17and all but one of my buddies have gotten in one. That's not to say its ok, but it makes it sound a little better.

ok, I am getting off of 522 to go to school in the morning and there is a round-a-bout after the off ramp. So i go and yield to the other cars (its suprising that so many people think the 'yield' sign means 'STOP MOTHER FUCKER'). Anyway, i see and opening and begin to creep forward when some guy is going too fast in the round-a-bout that i would have hit him if i continued, so I stop and yield again. all of a sudden BAM-MOTHA-FUCKA! I GET REAR ENDED! at first i didnt know what hit me, except that it hit pretty fuckin hard. I look back and see a guy that goes to my school (nice kid) looking at me with his jaw dropped

. I know where he's goin so i slowly go into the round-a-bout, looking back to make sure I didnt leave my bumper behind me and then we meet at school and duke it out. jk. I actually have a rep. for having a temper and people think I love this car more than anything/anyone else so all my buddies come running out to see my reaction. I handled it very well though. Just lucky no one got hurt. The nice thing was I got more hugs that day than I ever got in my life. ok... now the pics...

Oww, that's sad dude.... It's always important to set the head rest on the right height because your neck can hurt badly with those kind of accidents!

ya dutch, i came to weight lifting after i worked it out with the kid and my coach wouldn't let me lift, and I didn't even realize at first that I might be injured. I got a couple head aches but aside from that I feel ok, we will see what the next couple days bring though.

damn dude, that really sucks. Looks like he was going pretty quick. Hopefully you won't have any costs for repairs.

Yes the kid has insurance, I got all of his information. No, I did not involve the police. We are going to get an apprasal on Monday at a Body Shop down in Bellevue, then we are going to give them the option of paying or letting their insurance cover it. I wish i would have seen him coming, then I could tell you how fast he was going. e36_m3_turbo I live off of 522 in a neighborhood off of Echo Lake Road.

"IF" me car is totalled. How much can I expect to get from the insurance agency?

Sorry Dude I feel your pain...remember when that Bus collided with my car last december...

Well, it looks like you'll need a new bumper, trunk cover, right side rear panel (more $$$ for 2 door E36), New Left light, new bumper trim, plus interior damage (if any) and paint and labor....
I'm guessing $2000-$2500....

but i'm curious to know what they estimate...please keep us up to date.
