Well my drive started off last saturday the 20th of December. %30 am headed off with my trusty V1 in action. No coppers at all the way up except for the wrecked tards. Got some cool drives with fellow BMW owners they followed while i led of course. Kept her at a modest 85-100 until DC. Then i chilled until throughout the MD state because of traffic. Once i got on 83 to hit harrisburg things got a little promising. On the way to York on 83 is a concrete barrier on the divider and no room on shoulder for piggies. This jetta was toying with me so in ///M fashion i pushed it up to 140 without leaving 6th. Just to see how it was. Smooth as silk. Traffic got in the way then we cleared it. Second run 140-145 traffic in the way so i had to shut her down. I was sooooooo close to the 150-mph club. Even had the digicam ready for the shot. Oh well total dissapointment. Then it is through Harrisburg on the way to the Hazleton area. Once out of Harrisburg on 81 i would have had the chance to rip it open but alas there was flurries all the way up(not good on summer tires at high speeds). Plus PA has these ghey ass road signs that transmit K-band so I cant tell if it is a cop or not. Blah Blah Blah CHristmas time and shit.
On the way back today(Monday the 29th) the wife drove her through PA so no chance for 150 there. We switched at the MD state line so i could bring her through DC. B-more was congested but not bad. Suprisingly enough at 300 pm the MD side of 495 was clear and smooth as well around DC. Once i got to the VA side things changed for the worse. I spent an hour going through the 495-95 interchange. Them another hour just to get 5 miles from the interchange. Shitty SHitty Shitty. So my 7 hour drive became an 11 hour drive(wife, traffic you know the story). So maybe on my final road trip to CA i will bust a 150 pic for you dudes and ladies.
