So like you may all know I drive a 1997 m3.

So im on 680 heading towards San fran, and im just chilling at 68 or so in the 3rd lane over (outa 5). All of a sudden this black s4 gets up behind me. At this point im excited because I dont waste my time with other cars mostly german cars and the occasional gt stang just to slap him back into place. Anyways he suddenly switches lanes passing at about 80 while he looks over at me slammin his car into 3rd id say and hes off. So i down shift into fourth catch up real quick. Now im on his ass and can see the color of his eyes in his rear view!

He switches lanes I get up on his left with windows down and give him a quick smile. I dont think he liked that very much so he starts at it again. Were cruisin at 110 and then I make some lane changes and make a pass. Now im at about 125 or so and im looking around for him and and all of a sudden rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

Pass's at 130 im guessing. Mother fucker....

Its much like cat and mouse actually. So then im like "Alright time to end this"

Somthing about 5th gear at 6400 rpm's making a pass at 143 or so put him in his place.From there on I dont think he bothered to try and keep up.

So an awsome drive never the less.

He did give me the thumbs up though at one point, so he was just on a nice sunday drive most likly getting away from the wife!

Wish i had the video camera and a passenger!

Good story.. but holy shit I thought S4s were badass as in could smoke an e36 m3? I mean I saw that one video where an m5 was having a hard time keeping up... none the less good drive.

uhhhh no not at all.

If your talking about the s4. He down shifted from 4th to 3rd. (Im guessing)

An old s4 yeah. A new s4? That's what the controversy's all about. And I don't think any s4 could smoke a new m5 (I don't know THAT much about s4's, I'm just assuming this because the M5, a FAT sedan, has no problems keeping it in the 4.4s range 0-60). Seeing that the new m5 could point and laugh at the new m3.
