Jackass in an eclipse

I was driving thru the local Burger King drive thru at about 11 at night and saw a 2nd gen eclipse with his fogs parked in the back of the lot. I noticed a front mount intercooler and thought i would go check it out. I pulled up to him in my 98 M3 and said i knew a bit about DSM's, my brother had a few of them that i worked on, and asked what he had done. He just said a few things, so i asked him about his turbo and his front mount and he just says "I don't know, I just know my car will rape yours". I asked if he'd like to take a drive down Rice Lake (windy racing road nearby) and he said he didn't wanna waste the gas owning me. I just drove back to the drive thru window and laughed. When i was picking my food up from the window i heard him take off from the corner-all i could hear was the scream from his 5" exhaust pipe, no blow off valve and no turbo whine. I later found out that he doesn't even have a turbo, he just put a front mount on. What an idiot

All show... heh.

It's funny, those cars are ridiculously cheap to put a lot of HP in... Turbo kits are cheap and the parts are all very readily available. Don't underestimate them... the eclipse GT and the GSX are nastttty cars with work.... but the GS is essentially a joke.

and i think u meant the GST and GSX were the fast ones. The second gen was the only ones they put turbos in. The RS and GS were just 2.0 piles, the GST and GSX were 2.0 turbo. The 3rd gen was kinda a joke, even the GT. They went to some shitty V6. I'm not sure how the new ones are though

nothing beats those things for HP/$ ratio though... that said... doing 120 in one of those things is alot more... well... dangerous than doing it in a BMW... those things are sooooo light.

Maybe its because we roll pretty deep in BMW's around here or because people know that our group hangs out a customs and performance shop that my best friend owns but the ricers here are scared of us. We have maybe two really dominant fast cars out of the lot of us but what a ricer doesnt know wont hurt them.

Funny thing, the reason my brother had his engine rebuilt is because he jumped his timing belt in his eclipse. Welded a spark plug to the piston and sent a connecting rod thru the block and thru the oil pan. He's got the piston as a paper weight. What a mess, sorry u had that happen
