I30 vs. SE R

So I know this isn't a bimmer....but I figured I'd throw my first kill in my I30 up here. Love having a V6 haha....

I think a few of you guys knew about my 97 Infiniti I30 (got it last August). Nothin super sweet but it's a nice ride, alot nicer than my old Accord I had before it. My only prob has been getting people to have a little fun b/c it's gold and totally stock (not exactly going to draw much attention).

So my buddy Tony and I are driving down to meet up with all the car folks here in KC and as we're getting off the highway this riced out Sentra SE R with the multi colored lights and junk pulls up next to him (he was rolling his 93 accord SE that he'd spent a few years fixing up pretty nicely....it was actually pretty nice looking...more european in style than japanese...until this drunk girl totaled it about 2 months ago). First thought in my head was [I]this kids gonna try to race him[I].....sure enough the kid in the Sentra starts toying with him until Tony made it through a light the Sentra didn't. I'm next to the Sentra, and I know he's gonna try to catch up to Tony so even though he wasn't expecting me to race I drop it into 2nd gear (it's an auto :-( ). The guy guns it outta the light as hard as he can and by the time I'm shifting up into Drive I've got him by a car length. Totally caught the guy by surprise but he was definitely going as hard as he could.

Probably sounds trivial putting a I30 V6 against the Sentra but theres a few guys around here with Sentra's that have ridiculous amounts of hp and torque in them. Ran into a couple at a KCSR meet a few months ago that were pushing 400+ hp.

Anyway....there it is.
