Hey all, i'm proud of my car. I know most of you have bimmers with a ton of mods and what not, but you know why i love bimmers most...? Cause they don't need mods like other cars do to have power (sure you can mod to get more but they come oh so sweet). I have a 1995 325is (189 hp) I know an m3 could jerk me like i'm nothing, but hey i'm proud of what i can get.
Anyways, i recently rced a friend of mine, has a Chevy Caprice (i know your thinking haha, did he say caprice) well this was a police vehicle, highly modified (unfortunately muffled a bunch) but it has the LT1 engine, police suspension set up (not sure the kind but you can tell its not original, its really sporty feeling suspension), perormance chip with speed limiter removed, and what ever else they do (no blue lights on it tho, darn), 1991 model i think. Anyways he wanted to race so i was like well, i don't care, don't have anything to lose, but off the line we were side by side. He was off the line first cause his is an auto, mine is manual. I hit second and started the lead, hit third and was a car length ahead, hit forth and a car came around the corner and almost hit him head on. If i wasn't far enough ahead he would have been trapt in. But anyways.....
He was giving that thing heck tonight and peeled out onto the main road, and started jerking it from side to side and it swerved left and kept going, he went off the road, through a 3 ft trench just recently dug for pipelines and back into the parking lot where me and some other guys were watching, the girl with him was about to die she was so scared, lol. Anyways before he did that he was doing some pretty good donuts but i prefer not to do them unless i have a really good crowd. I have had my car for a month now so this was a first, i was like what the heck (was already in first just creeping along) jerked it to the right hard and floored it and jerked it to the left and got into the donuts and (keep in mind this is the first time i have really tried this in this car, more power than i'm used to) before i knew it it was tacked out in first gear so i shifted to second and it tacked out in a sec, shifted to third, tcked out, shifted to fourth and by this time i was so out of it due to shock and amazement i didn't even think to try fifth, i tacked fourth and was freaking out! I'm so freaking amazed at my car, i love bimmers more and more everyday. Best part is they said it was poz-traction the whole time (no clutch smells either). They were all like holy crap. It was a glorious moment!
Does anyone else have any other awesome e36 325 or similar engine power stories? I wanna hear them! Oh yeah, i raced 1999 mustang gt the other day and he couldn't keep up, this was up hill on a fairly straight road too. I used to have a 1986 325(e). It was a pretty good car, but the upgrades they've made are so awesome. Thanx for reading my 325power story. Hope you will share some here too.
later and rock on 3-series :rock
(oh yeah anyone like it will spin through fifth? just wondering it anyone has tried in a e36 325is or not, all it has modified is a k&n airfilter)
10-4 and i'm out.
