I Got In An Accident! - BMW Forum

Yesterday I got into a head-on collision in my 325i Convertible. I'd have to say, the car took it extremely well!

The airbags went off without flaw, I wasn't harmed at all! The car didn't spin out or anything when I stepped on the breaks quickly, and for safety, it automatically put on the emergency lights. I just want to let you guys know that if you get into a fair head-on collision, as long as you have your seatbelt on you'll be alright!

im osrry to hear that. whos fault was it . are you going to get another bmw. i got the same ride 1994 325i convertible but mines is boston green

yeah i'm glad your car protected you! You should try to get another BMW because you know it's safe.

If I want safety I'd get a volvo, those things are mad safe, I might get another bimmer but I don't know how much money I'll get from the insurance company.

Yes, glad to hear you're safe. BMW's are designed to avoid accidents, not absorb them.

I'm sure you could afford something good from your insurance company. Who knows... if you're lucky, an e46? Glad to know I'm safe...

Like everybody else - glad to hear that your safe.

I just went on a Bay Area meet and drive through some real challenging roads on Saturday. A guy (with his son) in a DINAN 8 rolled his car off of a small cliff. The car was completely upside down and the front suspension components were broken.

They both were able to walk out and were safe. It's very nice to know that a car CAN protect the driver under certain circumstances.
