Got Owned By An S4 Cab

I was going back from the Gym and I stop at a red light. I start reving up my engine but it sounds louder than usual. Then I see its a S4. The light turns green, we launch and he's gooonnneee. That car is fuckin faaaaaaaaastttt. On a downhill turn, he blew me, I didn't even bother hitting third gear, it was over before it started.......

If it's a new S4, that's faster than this here m3... the newer S4's are pretty fast... and that's saying a lot that he can beat a 330ci (I am assuming yours is an e46?) - although expected. But you might still get him on turns; except for some of the newest audis, I hear the suspension is performance killing soft.

yeah his sig says he has an 04 330 so yeah it's e46. I like the 03 style of s4's and I kinda like the body style before those also, but not as much. My dads friend had a black 02 or 03 one, those twin turbos sounded nice..

It's also faster than an E46 M3.

Even a old S4 00-02 model would of beaten the 330i.

Um, your wrong about it being faster then E46 M3, the E46 m3 beats it in the Straight, then in the turns, even on topgear, they were rated the same as for track use, but reports and articles have said that the S4 would own the m3 if the track were wet.

S4 and m3 are close the same in track time wise, but it really depends on the kind of driving you are doing, the M3 DOES(its proven on video, and in specs) have a faster 0-60 and straight line time then S4.

twin turbos sounded nice..

the s4 doesn't have turbo's, it is just a 340hp N/A engine. However, the new RS4 is the same engine with turbos, and same with the RS6.

M3 = 3.2L V6 333hp

And I've seen the S4 outrun the M3 on a dry, twisty track.

I thought it wasn't all about straight-line acceleration for BMWs?

Yea it was a 2004 S4 Cab, and holy shit that thing flies. It literally raped me, i didn't stand a chance.

it isnt all about striaght line, but its been proven the M3 has faster straight line then S4, when it comes to twisties, they cars are very similar in terms of timing, but it really depends on the driver also.

Well, it's pretty-fucking-phenomenal that a 4 door sedan can outhandle an M3 on a twisty track.

but you have to keep in mind, its not just any 4 door sedan, the quattro that audi has devloped is practically flawless, the amount of variances in its output of power to each wheel is infinite, and the time and techonolgy and money into that system is outrageous, and the raw power it puts out is incredible, so it isnt phenominal to me, its expected that it can keep up, and beat it in certain situations. Id think of both the cars as being pretty much equal, but different in so many ways(if that makes any sense)
