I was driving along minding my own business when this Red Accord coupe pulls up next to me at a light. It was a newer version and i figured it was the V6... however. The light changes and I drive at a normal pace. he starts eyeing me and I figured it was on. Once I hit 6k in 2nd, i was already gone. Turns out it was a 4 banger...
Heres the best part... after i torch him, I slow down to around the speed limit and he goes ripping by and puts his flashers on! I just laughed...

aww now why do you have to diss Honda's? haha :-D That's what I drive...but a 1990 LX...I'm just not stupid enough to rice it out and think I can beat anyone on the road (only mods are Boston Acoustic Speakers, Pioneer head unit and a 12" JL W0 pushin a 600 watt Legacy amp, mesh grill and white outs on the front lights). My friends got a really nice 93 SE with loads of mods (not rice either...no body kits or fart cans...truly is a gorgeous Honda...very well done)....but neither of us are dumb enough to think we can take a 6 cylinder BMW. Guys like that should have their license taken away and have to drive a Ford Festiva for life.
I love Honda's, but the guys that think their ricebox's are the fastest cars on the road suck. Heck I toolbagged a 2000 Prelude SI with mods in my mom's automatic 2001 Maxima GLE (and her torque delay is horrible unless you shift from 2 to Drive). Sure there are some fast ones...but a 4 cylinder accord against a 328i? please.... haha
Let's just say I'm counting the days until I get the keys to a nice pretty little E36 M3.
Was at the local 1/4-mile dragstrip last Friday nite, and it was "street night" (run what ya brung). I saw a Honda Civic run in the 11's and multiple Hondas (two old CRX's) run in the 12's. The scary thing about them was that they weren't totally "riced out" at all, and if they hadn't had the big M&H tires in the front, they'd be easy to overlook on the street. Maybe a primer body panel here or there, but that was it.
Funny how the ricier the Hondas and Acuras got, the slower times they ran. Maybe the add-ons really weigh them down...
BTW, there were many new GTOs, most looked totally stock, and they consistently ran mid-to-upper 13's. WRXs were there also running 13's.

Hondas are great cars, but like you said, some are just retarded drivers. The new SI would be tough to beat though... The mufflers are really what piss me off

i dont see the appeal of slapping all the brands of the stuff in/on your car unless your getting sponsored for them... i guess not as reliable as we all thought...
i love it when they stick 3/5 series lights and grilles on their hondas. thats the best..
or when "Pimp my Ride" gives an escort a BMW... i mean 'euro' look. hmmm id say its pretty bmw to me... too bad i can run faster than it.
but if you think about it... all sporty cars wanna be an M3...
M3 Mirrors, M3 body kits, M3 lips, M3 tailights... the list goes on.
On craigslist, i emailed a guy about M3 mirrors he was selling... apparently he thought i was crazy that i wanted them for my BMW. they are made for civics... i said, 'thanks, but im looking for BMW parts to put on a BMW... not try to be like one.'
When I see these idiots come up on me like that after I killed them once, I do it again and again until they've had their fill. Dropping to third at 60 is a lot of fun. Most of those punks are scared to go much over the speed limit anyhow.
I had a kid in a Lumina with some chrome wheels look at me funny on the expressway last year. Then he takes off. So I do the duty and kill him. He didn't know what hit him. That wasn't enough so he tried again. This time I turned off the AC and flew past him. His girlfriend seemed rather dissapointed at the performance, while mine was just laughing. It happened a third time and he gave up.
People have hondas for all sorts of reasons. My parents could give a rats ass about cars. Both are lawyers too, so I dont think they are broke. My father is happy with his 2000 Honda CR-V which hes put 170,000 miles on since buying it new. Barely has problems.
