i was on a 35mph road doing 50, and the coupe comes by me, and we're both turning on to the road before you merge on the highway, it's kind of a back road, 45mph, surpisingly windy road. we're both at the light, he's mid 20's, wearing a suit, new coupe with the 18's and aero package (i think it's the best looking car under $40k). so at the light he takes off, and knowing he can do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds less than i can do it, i take off, shifting near redline, pretty much keeping up (i assume he wasn't flooring it, though he had an automatic) and i shift hitting over 50mph in 2nd gear, keeping up in 3rd, until he pulls away and hits about 85-90mph, but in 5 seconds or so i'm right back up behind him and we're cruising through the twisties, and this taurus comes with us and cruises 40mph above the speed limit, and it still isn't even fast on this wide 2 lane road. i then get on the highway and he gives me this expressionless stare, which kinda frieked me out. nevertheless, it was fun. and i just got to work, see the guy who does triathalons and drives an E class, and i have to race up the flights of steps with him. i think i'm done for the day
