I was really bored during vactation break during school so I called up one of my friends. He is a cool guy, so I go to where he just got off of work. He had his Volvo S80 and I am in the M3. We decide to go up and do some canyon/mountain driving. We take off, i'm leading to this good place... We get up there and I start just cruisin, he has a hard time keepin up , but I just keep going... anyways we keep driving and I see a pull over area, I get over and wave to him to come up so we can talk. He is an idiot and he thinks I said go ahead of me (duh im in an m3, why would he lead?) so he goes and about 200 yards ahead he tries to show off and he takes a turn to hard and the car slides, hits and bank, goes UP the bank and dramatically flips I couldn't believe my eyes, literally, I thought I was dreaming. I bring my car over real fast. I am soooo scared. I run up to the car that is stuck upside down and I am screaming his name. I get up to the car, see nothing moving and all the sudden I see him release his belt and fall to the floor and climb to the back of the car and get out through the back door (front door was jammed into the ground). He gets out and imediatly starts to yell....
Eventually someone comes up the hill (on his way to go fishing) and he stays with us and tries to calm me and my friend down. We are pretty remote away and phone doesn't work, so we all decide that I should go back because if he left, it may be "leaving the scene of an accident". So I drive down, call his parents, police, then my parents. By the time I get back up there, there is a park ranger (this is a park type road thingy) and the sheriff arrives shortly after. They begin to clean the mess and ask my friend questions. Dumbass says we were going 15-25 when in reality it was more like 45-60mph (check pictures, no way that happened 15-25) so they are all like your a dumbass and they uncover the truth eventually (no repocussion to me ever btw). I then have to make a second trip down the mountain to get a camera from someone we know so I can take pictures of the accident.
Eventually the tow truck comes, flips the car, and puts it on the flatbed. It was sooo messed up, every part of the car had a problem on it. And that was it, my friend was screwed because of that until he got an A4 a few weeks ago. Lucky bastard, didn't pay for s80, crashes it, gets a $10,000 Audi, its messed up.
So the turn that he crashed on had a random parked car there, he said he had to suerve to miss it (although it was at least 5-10 feet off the road) and they call it a moving violation and he gets a warning. Nothing happens, just insurance money. What a bitch, he flips a car and gets less shit then when I get a ticket for 21 over.

i couldnt think of a better car to be in for that crash, its mad crazy that you got to see the whole accident from where you were. must have been scary seeing it happen

Yea my parents hada bad accident in a volvo.....flipped 4 and a half times in grand canyon area...nothing happend to them, just my mom, who wasnt wearing a seatbelt. (thats another story) But the car was fully intacted...door handles and paint were messed up. It was a 1994 940 Wagon. This was in 96..since then we have bought 6 Volvos..good cars.
