Firebird kill

I was coming home from work today, minding my own....saw a nice E36 M3 going the other way so I pulled a U and cauht up to him at the next light. he had an exhaust on it, sounded nice. He wasn't game to run so I gave a wave and drove on. I made another U to go home figuring I would just take it easy back to the house.

I see a firebird up ahead, look to see if its a WS-6 and don't see the badge on it, I got ahead of him for a second and saw he had the big ass ram air hood on it.

So we are at the red light and I glance over at him, he is looking ahead not looking over. I figure he isn't going to try anything and chill. So the light turns green and I start off normally in 1st, shift to second and hear him hit it. I hit it at 3K in second and he gets ahead to by 1/2 a cl. The RPMs come up(I had the ast-c disengaged from earlier) te mototr wound up fast and I caught hi faster. We were next to each other dead even through second and into third. Got a little more into third gear and I start to walk him pretty fast, I quickly put three cl between up and hit the flashers for a blink.

I shut down and took it easy to the next light. He tucked in behind a van and went slow the rest of the way and I gave him a wave as I was turning off to go hom but I dont think he saw me.

What are the rules to racing from a light?

How fast/far do you race? Is it until someone gives up/backs off?

What does "hitting the flashers for a blink" mean?

its adopted from races with spectators. cause from the start line it can be hartd to see who won, so the winner turns on his flashers. its just a way of signaling that your done racing. some time its misused, called the ricer fly and flash, when a ricer flys by you then turns on his flashers as if you were racing him

Aren'tteh firebirds just a 6cly? The TA's with the WS6 are what u have to watch for, maybe you have the terminology wrong.

I probably do have the terminology worng. I dont keep up with domestics at all.

I do, and it was most likely the V8 if it had the large ram-air style hood unless he replaced it.

LT1 or LS1? Im betting it was a 6, cuz no M car can beat a WS6, they run right next to a regular Trans am. Whats done to your bimmer?
