M3's are not meant for the straight line. From the looks of the video the M3 was beat, but the audi has a turbo, the M3 was N/A. If you took both those cars on the track I would have to go with the M3.

Ohe yea, I am not taking anything away from the M3 and their are many ways to quantify performance.
But that is a 1.8 liter engine 4 cyclinder engine. I think considering the 1.8t is rated at 170 chp, pretty impressive improvement from stock.
wtf...M3 does 0-60 in 4.7, how coul dit lose, i bet driver was too scared.
i still dont see...how lets say a 175hp car can beat that car...i am still at a loss, i think i could have beat it..wtf...im still at a loss for words..wtf...WTF..WTF..WTFWTFWTWFWTFWTFWTFWTFTWFTW TFT

Sorry, I should explain. That Audi is rated stock at about 170 crank HP.
That specific car was running a Garrett T28 Turbo, with appropriate software and hardware. That car with the T28 is probably putting down more like 300 hp, with huge tq also.
yeah that would make sense then... i was like "OMG WTF, how is 170hp>333hp" lol

Hey fellas thanks for the responses. I am an Audi owner. But I do love BMW's and I would agree with the evaluation that the M3 is still more of a car than the A4 1.8T Quattro.
I did not post this to take anything away from the M. But seeing that we all appreciate fine German engineering I thought it would be fun to watch.
From my perspective and keep in mind that at this point of my life the M3 is not in my budget. I have a little 1.8T and for about $3,000.00 I can make a nice little sleeper. Simple and clean no bling and with some stones.
Now I like turbo's and I like Audi's. But I am in complete agreement that when it comes to NA engineering it is BMW all the way.
The best example I think I can give would be the McLaren F1.
