Post

Sorry had to post this kill first as it has nothing to with whose car is faster. As I was on the freeway headed to race my friend in his 350Z. I was dipping through traffic a bit on the 405 S, wasn't too bad for a sunday in L.A. (50-65mph). I notice some HID's catching up behind and could tell they were Audi lights. And as Im changing lanes this guy is too, SWEEEET . I love traffic weaving, we were going about 80-90 as we approached LAX. Next thing I know hes up my ass trying to box me into missing a lane change. I had a chance to go left but I decided to let him go and made it seem like I got boxed in. I wanted to know what kind of car it was first and had a lil trick up my sleeve as well. Turned out to be a new Audi 1.8t, ah whatever still needed to own his ass. I start tailing him, not to close though, as we approach the LAX exit. He stays to left as cars move faster there I split off to the right thourgh the thru traffic ramp which is entirely empty . I hit about 140 and merge back with traffic with the Audi about 16-20 car lengths behind with his E light blinking, he bowed out. Sorry had smile on my face after that one :nana

OK now the 350 run first of all im completely stock cept for the MZ3 shortshifter and the 350Z has intake, headers, and crank pulley, unfair. Well anyway we do a 2nd gear WOT at 30 mph, he pulls about a foot on me 3rd he is half a car length in front, 4th his money gear 2-3 car lengths didnt decided to keep going. Then we went from the launch (Something im still working on). First launch too much spin but he does too, I mess up and redline in first he pulls away 2 cars length. Second launch spin all the way thourgh first funny he does too, I have to apologoze for being such a bad shifter cuz I bleep up again can't get second. Damn shifter can be rough sometimes, anyways we had find a new light cuz you dont want to be one spot too long. After that we couldnt get any lights, so we pull over decide call it a night and continue it at a drag strip. On the way home we get a light and go at it anyway. Launch was decent this time but so was his, he was right next to me 2nd gear didnt even inch, 3rd you guys dont want to hear this, lets just say we will continue this at the drag strip. All in all it was cool cuz I kno for at least 3 gears were pretty much even and he does have alot more power then me, also he is considerably a better driver. Im not that bad myself just had a bad night and I will continue this when we go to the drag strip and hopefully get some video as well.

a little off topic, but the 350Z's have joined the production car racing over here, the other day their was a race at a nearby race circuit and the BMW E46 330i's owned the 350Z's. Ok the BMW owned every other car out their but it was funny to see the 350Z's loosing by so much. the new 330i's have 20kw more. the competion is going to be so left behind

Definatly run him at Irwindale, or LACR. Fontucky is too much of a headache and will turn you off to running at a track.

Don't get your car crushed street racing.

Sweet your obviously in L.A. area. Irwindale sucks cause its 1/8th mile track and LACR has its elevation and headwind. Never been to Fontana but you say it sucks... LACR it is I guess. We should do a meet at LACR with members from L.A. just for fun and maybe somebody can take my friends 350Z down....
