OK, I am driving down U st in DC a week ago. I see a sweet looking black E46 M3 and drive next to it for a few blocks. There is a merge ahead where two lanes go to one because thee is a truck in the right lane where I am, he is in the left. I look over at him and we both hit it at the same time. I am going balls to the wall all out and I got ahead of him and made the lane change before he could cut me off.
He didn't slow down, I heard him going all out the whole time. After I got ahead of him I slowed down and he did also, he immediately turned off and I kept going.
How the hell did I pull on an E46? Could it have been SMG slowing it down? Does the TQ come on faster in the E36? WTF?
Can I add this one to my kill list???

alot of times people will punch it without downshifting, especially when its something with little reaction time. you probably just had a gearing advantage right from the start
Euro E36 vs Euro E46 is a closer contest. Most (E36)M3 owners here change their exhaust and filter and run at around 330-340 bhp.

Joking, but in all seriousness, he didnt back off and he did have that thing running hard, I could hear it with all the windows open.

yeah man good work. sounds like fun, even if his car wasnt going full potential, still cool to be driving at high speeds with another BMW.
