E34 M5 Vs E39 540i

my mate has just got himself a BMW e39 540i now he is saying his car is faster than mine. So we went for a drive I was in front of him on some duel carride way I pulled in to the inside lane. he drew level I beeped my horn and we hit it at 50 mph I shoot off he was about 20 meters behind me then we hit the ton
I and shifted into 4 gear I left him for dead the speedo was at 165 mph when I slowed down and he was about 100meters behind me I won he lost


BMW's are a good machines

but m-cars is are the ultimate driving machines

nice! what engine was it? the 4.0 or the 4.4? i can keep up with the 4.4 but cant beat it at highway speeds.

I thought they were all 4.4 V8s
