| So our project car is almost 100% done. My mechanic and I bought a 91 325i together. It came with all dinan controlled software and engine parts including a dinan turbo. it had a bad headgasket and some other misc problems like chewed up cam gear and rocker arms. anyways it cost us 2500 total. we tore it apart and ported and polished the engine and did some other upgrades to it but nothing really major, just the normal stuff you would do when you take apart an engine.
so this weekend we finished it and had it running. new custom exaust that he made himself at a muffler shop. let me tell you this car is so damn fast. when that turbo kicks in, it's so much power. I was VERY impressed. coming around a corner I downshifted to 2nd and floored it and the turbo kicked in, spun me in a 180 right there on dry pavement it was insane.
only thing we have to do now is fix a cracked mirror, grill and glove box latch and then we're done. I'll have videos and pics sometime soon. he's taking the car to CA for a week so it'll be a week or so until I get them but god damn the car is insanly powerful. this car is also a huge sleeper other then the dinan decal on the back. can't even hear the blowoff as it's reused by the turbo internally. I will post tons of shit on this car as soon as I can. But this was my first time driving an e30 and I REALLY liked it. Anyways, thought I'd share.
