So last weekend I was cruising at 75mph eastbound in the middle lane of three on the Ohio Turnpike. A semi truck in the right lane pulled up on me quickly. When his gas tank was even with the end of my hood, he decided it would be a good idea to swerve suddenly into my lane. Thank God for the handling of BMWs and an open left lane. I swerved, stepped on the gas, and then swerved back into my original lane with my safety lights blinking just to let the guy know he is an ass.
Then I sped away at 120mph+. I had no interest in being in his neighborhood any more. That may actually have been the fastest I've driven the M3 so far.
that sucks, glad you were paying attention and swerved. I hate driving next to trucks, especially in a BMW, the car a so small when next to a truck. It seems like it only comes up to the tires of the truck. Atleast you got to test out your m3 at high speeds
shit. I had the same thign happen to me on a 2 lane highway. I was going 85, he didnt see me and started to move over. I hit my brakes harder then ever before. The truck missed me by about 12 inches.
Semis should have a radar, so they knwo when someones in their blindspot.
See, that's just the thing; while I may have been in his blind spot that particular moment, he should have known I was there since he came up behind me.
Do you live in OH or were you just passing through? We need a BMW meet around these parts.

I often pass through. I live in the DC metro area and my family live in South Bend, IN. Fastest way from here to there is on the Ohio turnpike. I'll be going there and back this Thursday through Monday, in fact.
