cruisin with a 330Ci

Hey guys, I found this forum in my searches on the net, and thought I'd ask you all a question...

Just last weekend, I was on the highway and I was cruisin with this 330Ci with quite possibly the weirdest exhaust i've ever seen on an bimmer... heh sorry i dont have pics, so I'll try to describe it. it had two rectangular tips, about 2.5-3" high and maybe 5-6" wide, centered on the rear bumper...like not in it, but below it. Aside from being lowered about 1-1.5", the car didn't have any other noticeable mods. If you were looking at the car from the back, flat on, the tips would be angled a bit upwards, and you'd be able to see the pipes going a bit down (going towards the front) and to either side of the diff and over the rear axle. It had a sort of a Hamann-ish exhaust note, but was a bit deeper, more full, and a little more raspy. I asked this on another forum (www.e46fanatics.com) but when someone suggested that it was a Hartge exhaust and I noticed that it wasn't, the thread didnt get anywhere...

Does anyone know of such an exhaust system?

sounds like Hartge, they usually have rectangle type echaust. and the sound is real deap, but Ihave never heard of a raspy Hartge exhaust before.

yea that's what i thought when the guy suggested that it may be, but i looked aroud on their site and the only dual-center exhaust system i found was this one, for the M3, and they're small and rounded compared to what i saw. maybe he got the exhaust system then just stuck on some new tips...



as for the exhaust note...it sounded kinda raspy to me, but for all I know it could have been the typical Hartge sound...i wouldn't know cause i've never heard one in real life, so i have nothing to compare it to. It definitely did have a deep note to it tho. it sounded so wonderful
