Ok well this happened last week, i wanted to start this thread right after it happened, but i thought u guys would think i was a young punk, but then i realized you'll think that no matter what i do :P , ok so here it is....

I rode around town saturday with my friend dylan, during which, i got stuck in traffic, behind a riced out civic, it has the altezza lights and everything, so we're making fun of it, and then i turn onto another road and the civic is gone, and i continue on my way, end of story right?...wrong :P ,

on the way home i'm goin through this 30 mph zone, just cruisin, i come to a stop, this black civic pulls up along side me, i look over, it's this asian ass hole from our school name danni gigli, my friend dylan is like sup, we notice there's some chick in the back, and this huge stoner kid named adam omran, in the passenger seat, i just nod like sup, the light turns green, he tries to go,

i shift form 1st into second at 4k, i do the same in 2nd, i look over and he's like 2 car lengths behind me, i'm like wtf lol, i wasn't even sure if he tried to race me, i put it in 3rd and just cruise, then he just blows past me, im' like wtf, lol,

then we realize it was the same civic we were makin fun of earlier in the day, dylan is like dude u totally owned that prick, then i'm like, i don't think he was tring to race me, then he was stopped at the light ahead, i put it in neutral and began to slow down, then the light runs green and i, put it in second and just blow past him,

monday i ask adam, who's in my study hall class, if danni really tried to race me, he's like yeah man he really was trying to race you, then we talked about cars for a few minutes, it was fun,

all in all, i owned a riced out civic driven by an asian asshole from my school, the best part is that i didn't even try, and that we were makin fun of him earlier in the day

thank you all for reading my story,
shahab

What kind of thought process does a person go through, that leads to them deciding to race their Honda Civic? Seems like defeat would be obvious no matter what way you look at it.

Nice kill, but it's kind of like picking up freshman girls; you know you could challenge yourself but when you need some easy entertainment it really hits the spot

I agree lol, you're looking at a 50+ hp difference I believe, I'm not exactly sure lol, but what can I say, I never raced anything except my friends 3000GT, and that wasn't serious at all.

Haha, don't want people to think you're a young punk? I'm 17!

Was the Civic modified engine wise? And do you remember the model of it? If it had a D-series engine, it has about 117hp and maybe a bit of added hp for the fart cannon it might have had, if it was an SI it would have about 157hp...

Doesn't the BMW have 189-210 hp? Someone please tell me because I'm not sure of the power specs on my own car @_@!

my car has 168hp, i'm not sure what kind of civic it was, i was too busy, owning/laughing at it to realize, but it did have the coffe can exhaust and unpainted body kit, lol, when the lite turned green, and he went for it, the fart can was soo loud, lol,

i realize this was nothing special, but it feels good to embarass a riced out civic, especially when it's driven by some asian prick from my school

i raced my friends 2003 jetta 1.8t once. It was sad. Rolling from 60 to 120 i killed him by about 3.5 car lengths.

That engine has no high end

I figured id give him the rolling advantage, because it is a FWD POS

This is a good question to ask. I used to race my honda with a GSR engine, race chip and full race suspension. That car was tuned to more than 300hp. how modded was this civic. mine used to own most everything especially in the curves at 2.25" drop all around with parada 2s. with the right equipment a civic will do a lot. it is a lot lighter as well. No flaming me please i luv my M3 and wouldn't trade it but i used to race cars and you can't always judge a book by it's cover or or car by it's symbol. LOL

Nice kill nonetheless!

keep racken em up!

Wow.

Just wow.

Do you guys realize how RIDICULOUSLY easy it is to make a Honda Civic a fast quarter mile car?

Just go to honda-tech.com and see how many board members have their cars into the 12s, 11s, and even 10s.

How many BMWs can do replicate those kind of numbers?

honda's are light as shit... with a rebuild and turbo like people have to do you can get low ass 1/4s. Problem is, most honda and some bimmer owners don't do the job right. I have a friend named Jesse. He has a 96 Honda Civic. He twin turboed it. Car ran high 11s and low 12s all the time. Smoked me in 1/4s but couldn't keep up on corners. Less then 10k miles into it, he blew his engine and tranny because he just slapped the turbo's on and went. He hasn't driven the car in 2 months because he's looking for a h22 engine replacement. Point of this ramble is, ANY car can be made to go fast in a straight line (or around corners), but in the end, whose car will look better getting there? A bimmer will of course :P

I say good kill only because I FUCKING HATE RICED out civics more then anything.
