So I am driving Northbound on I405 by Bellevue (WA) yesterday and all of a sudden this HUGE piece of insulation comes out of nowhere and hits my car. Not that it hurt anything, but it freaked the hell out of me. Literally, the size of this piece was at least 2 full sized matresses. It bounced off the car in front of me, then hit me, and kept on going back and falling apart on the way. If i wasnt cool and in control, I def. would have swerved and slammed into someone next to me. So then I am listening to the radio this morning and one of the news stories was about that, turns out that other shit fell out of this guys truck including... GET THIS A BUTCHER KNIFE. So apparently this knife fell out and hit this one lady's car, she just thought it had bounced off (she didn't know what it was at the time) and kept going. When she parked a little while later, she saw that the knife was embedded 4 inches deep inside her front bumper. Holy shit I would have been so freaked out if I saw that on my car, imagine if it was a few inches higher and BOOM no more face.

I could not find the news story for it, but I think my summary is good enough. Anyone else had any crazy stuff flying in the road stories?>

rocks... i drive through a trash disposal/ industrial zone every day... the amount of rocks and gravel flying on the front of the car is unbelievable. I hate large trucks and that damn road.

Reminds me of that story I heard a LONG time ago where a lady was shopping for groceries and someone stabbed her in the back with a knife, but it hit her spine in a way that messed up the nerve and she didn't feel it. She didn't notice and later that night (after driving home) realized it was there. I never was sure if I believed that story, but does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

my sisters husbands car got hit by a rock out of the back of a dump truck. He turned the car around and followed them till they stopped. Long story short, those bastards paid to fix the damages.

It probably didn't hurt that he is 6'8" 300lb rugby player though.

Wellby it I mean the insulation, I did not have anything to do with thebutcher knife, it is just from the same car. The insulation ripped on my bumper and chunks of it were stuck there and then it just kept on flying backwards.

Wow. Sounds a lot like that lady who got hit by the piece of wood on 405(?) and is paralised now. Or the lady on 202 who got hit by the piece of some trucks metal bumper and spent two weeks in the hospital. They really need to just those people who don't strap stuff down on their trucks.

That or make it legal for me to mount a cannon on the back of my car to take out tailgaters.

I think the lady that got hit by wood was on I-90 by North Bend, but I might be wrongl. i seem to recall somebody getting hit by something down there.

But yeah, they really need to tighten down on people that loose crap off their cars.
