I was at a shopping center tonight and while driving around the parking lot to find a parking space, a SUV back out of her spot and as I was passing by she back into my bimmer and hit the trunk area.
Does anyone know who this fault might be?
I thought it is her fault but I am not sure? The worst part is she try to run after and I caught up with her about 10 mins later on the freeway and hunk at her. Then she fianlly decided to stop since she know's she cannot out run me. When she finally stop she's like oh I didn't feel anything. During that chase I was on the phone calling the cops. The cops show up like 10 minutes after she stop and took the info. The worst part is the cop said she probably didn't feel it b/c the damage wasn't that bad.
I would think its her fault, especially since she hit your trunk....also your insurance may do something about her fleeing...or you might want to contact a lawyer.
yeah seriously if she fled. take her to court and also say you have whiplash and emotional trauma

If you were on a private lot IE at the mall you are going to have a tough go of it. Normal traffic law does not apply. You could get an atty and do all of that crap but the only winner will be the atty. It will cost you more to pay him then it will to get your car fixed. Get with your insurance company, they will contact her insurance company and work it out. Some of the good bnody shops do better then factory new work so if you do your homework your car will be perfect. May be an oppourtunity to get a little custom paint work done. There's that silver lining.

Yea, now that I think of it. I should have just done this. I already got her license plate once I caught up to her. But I was just so pump and determine to get her.
Guys, thanks for your response. I have contacted my insurance already. I'll wait to hear from them on Monday. As far as contacting the lawyer, I'm not sure if it would be worth it or not?

She backed out into you=Her fault. You have the right of way. My mom is an attorney for Farmers insurance, and after seeing 1,000,000 cases she brings home every night, I know this one. Its her fault, but DO NOT LIE ABOUT INJURIES. Faking an injury can be sniffed out by the worst lawyers. No whiplash!!

Thanks for the info. I have reported this to my insurance and they will deal with it. Still waiting on the inspector to come and check out my car.
man are you crazy? you should get a lawyer. sue the shit out of her man. i got into a car accident. fucken got hit by a benz and the damage was a small dent and i got two thousand for it. i mean if you want money to repair your car then court is the way to go. plus the fact that she tried to run makes it her fault. i mean why run if it isn't your fault right?

Yeah, good idea. Spend more money on a lawyer and court costs only to make like 200$ after all is said and done.

her fault and your insurance will cover it dont matter that its in a parking lot still is an accident! my moms been in one where someone hit her 2003 bmw and yeah we got mad money! she put nice rims with the money we got since the damage wasnt that hardcore!
