Feeling very tired this AM on my way to work. Regular traffic is out, sun is rising. I am on SM road going at the bottom of the hill at the light by the garage. Guess what pulls up to me? A nice late model silver Porsche 911. I looked over at the driver, we nodded, not race nod, just a "hey nice ride" nod. Wellt eh light turned green and I guess I misunderstood his nod because he hit it. Not to be left behind I decided to give it a go. I easily caught up and pased him by a car length. he kept up but was behind me the whole way. I dotn kow what speed we hit, wasn't too incredibly fast, maybe 90 as I think I saw redline in 3rd. Next light turns red and we both stop. He looks over at me with a HOLY S**T! look. I just smiled at him.
So the cross traffic is almost passed us and the light is going to turn green. I decided to launch this time and really spank him. I brought it up to 2 grand and let it sit there, the light turned green, I got to 3500 RPMs and dropped the cluth. Man that car just jumped off the line! The wheels spun maybe three times, got a good grip and me and the BM left that 911 far behind. I got and kept two to three car lengths on him and kept on going. He got on 64E and I had to continue to work.
I am petty psyched up right now, took me three tries to type my password right! All I can think is how bad that Porsche driver must feel after getting his A** handed to him by a 4 door!!!
I have decided to name the BMW M3. I am open to suggestions for a name...I am thinking along the lines of Silver Wolf....she is silver and she is most definitely a wolf in sheeps sheet metal....

What year was it it could mean anywhere from nineteen sixty something to ninety something. I own N/A 911's all day long as long as they're not 993's or 996's.

If it was a 993 you woulda pwned him by at least 0.4 seconds on the 0-60. I think It does it in 5.9 with tiptronic.

if it was at least a '98 it was a 996 then. and i've only seen one 996 tiptronic, i bet they do 0 to 60 in 5.4 maybe, since they do 4.8-5.0 with a manual.

911(turbo) and carrera (n/a) are different. Imagining a 98 m3 own any of the 2 is hard to imagine, but maybe the Carrera was an auto and the guy didnt know how to drive. Nice kill. A 911 turbo wouldve killed you even if it was an old grandma driving it.
