So a good friend of mine owns a 240sx with an engine swap (sr20 det) FAST CAR.....no..not really. Now we did a 0-60 60-100 90-128. To my surprise i won all of them. Now both these cars are stick. And my 3 is not modded at all besides short shift, b/c im selling and getting my m3 you see. Now anyways i beat him 0-60 only reason i won that is because of my very strong 1st gear. 60-100 by a half a car. its strange to me though. I beat him to my top out... but he was pacing and slowly passed at about 135 im guesing .he came back strong and his car seems to be much faster after 115. weird..here i thought i was driving the autobahn car. Eh w/e just a 328is. Anyways all this shit about these engine swaps into these fly like death traps is a loud of crap..there still not that fast...and only zippy...not to mention the wheels fly out from under them around a turn while my bmw on the other hand corners wonderfully in a controled yet sport drift. Anwyas just wondering if anyone has had trouble against these over rated lightweights.

i have some friends who are really into the s14's. they have a kouki right now, and are getting a zenki and swapping the sr into it. they can slightly put up a fight in the canyons but their back end is always sliding around and wasting momentum. I really don't like those cars, they feel like a tin box on wheels.
My good friend has a 95 240 with coilovers and a cage and some other mods...damn good driver too. well he drove behind a z4 one day and said he has never pushed so hard in his life....funny thing was he could BARELY keep up with the z4.
I'd take any bimmer over one of those anyday.
BTW...nice kill with the BMW....thats the way to represent

My bro has a 240sx. My car has a tighter steering feel, but his car definetely handles at least a little better than my car. We haven't raced yet, but he admits I would win. His car sounds better tho. Not that ricer sound, but deep.

I've got a 240sx for a few years now pretty fun reliable, easy to work on car. Great car that shares alot of usable components off Z32's and Skylines and Infiniti's. When I wanted to buy a BMW I still kept it for the weekends and as a 2nd car. Comparing it to the ///M well isn't really fair but the 240 is modded has great confidence and road feel with the my suspension setup. Stock for stock though the M is very rewarding but 240's aren't all that bad! The 240 gets annoying though with the suspension not really being suited to the street more track oriented. Remember the 240 can also be a grip car not just the DRIFT car everyone makes it out to be. Its all determined on your driving setup. Awhile ago Sport Compact Car pulled 1.01g's on the skidpad with a modded '91 S13 that's as much as a C5 Z06 did! Remember a 240 can be setup to GRIP not just DRIFT! But yes I love the ///M more than the 240 trust me on that!
