This happened a while back but I though I would share. I was driving home and was behind this prelude (the newer one). I assume it was stock except for it's tin can exhaust. My car is stock as well except for the M3 exhaust. Anyways, he was going really slow so I pulled around to pass him. Next thing I know he's right up my butt. I had to turn right onto a single lane road and he was following. It was a nice stretch of road so I decided to floor it. Started in second and gave it all I had into third and fourth. He kept up with me the whole way but couldn't pass. I was impressed because in an earlier confrontation with a different prelude I won by a couple of car lengths. Anyways, I turned on to my street and that was the end of it. But I must say I was impressed.
hmmm werid... he must have had something more then stock. my buddy has a 94 prelude with lots of mods done and I spanked him bad when we did a rolling start from 30mph.. he stay with me until about 70 and then it was bye bye

maybe the last gheylude you raced was auto and this prelude was manual??
the new preludes aren't too slow, but you should still be faster than him. maybe that tin can exhaust is something real and he has some other mods too.

i always wondered how the 328 would stack up against the prelude. the second day i had my car one tried to mess w/ me, but i just got my car and i wasnt too used to it yet. in other words i was a newb. anyone else confront a prelude?
My girlfriend has a 1999 prelude 2.2 VTEC and she loves messing about when we are both on the road together! It's a quick car, particularly because of the VTEC engine but it is very light and handles brilliantly too... but...
...before I crashed my 328i Sport Coupe ( ) I made mincemeat out of her... now in my 323i its a lot closer! I still think I'm quicker onve we get going but it is definately close!
As far as a 328i V's a prelude.... no contest.... "Bye bye", said the Bimmer as the pedal went down!!!
Auto and manual make big diff, so the other could hav ebeen auto.

That prelude can in three trims the base Si and V-tech, 130hp, 160hp, 190-195hp respectively. The V-tech could have kept up, those are very fast and could have kept up and with mods spanked.
