there were a few generations of the civic Si. the only one i'm familiar with is the 99-00 version with a 1.6L 160hp 112tq and 8000rpm redline, which is pretty quick. 0-60 in 7.1. which would most likely beat a stock E36 325i manual or auto given equally skilled drivers.
if its the newer Civic Si (the coupe version) it came with the b16a3 which like everyone has said has 160hp and 113lbs of tq
the older Civic Si's (hatchbacks) came with a d16a which had 130hp and like 100 lbs of tq
There is a 2.3 Honda Prelude motor non-vtec which has 170hp and like 140lbs of tq but that can easily be bumped up
Mainly it depends on if the Civic is stock because mods actually help us (i own a civic) out lol as long as there not stickers
anyways I don't know the numbers on the 325i but stock Civic Si's with a good driver can run 15's on the 1/4 so that should help ya out
99-00 Civic Si 1/4 mile is about a 15.7 stock. With I/H/E they will run low 15s. The new civic si runs about a 15.9. Honda did build 2.3 liters, 2 version actually. The 92-96 Honda Prelude Si (160hp/156tq) and the 94-02 Accord's had 145hp and 150hp with the sohc vtec.
presto: well.. its not impressive. But the car is $16k and it has only 160 hp. And its faster than the 325i.
BTW.. i personally dont like the civic SI. My lil bro has the 2000, and the car is sluggish. My old car (94 integra ls) was
a little quicker (even with my 142 hp) and more responsive.
