Today on my way home I sotpped at a red light and in front of me was a 318, and beside it was an Audi A4 1.8, they didn't race or anyhting, but I was just wondering, which do you think would win if they did?

With regards to a straight race, I would have to go for the Audi. In comparison between a 2002 A4 and a 1995 318i, the Audi has a faster 0-60 and quarter mile time with lots more power (because of the turbo).

just a question but isn't the audi S4 the one with the turbo and the A4 the one without the turbo maybe im wrong and they both have turbos... but yeah, id like to think the bimmer would win, but the audi im pretty sure would take the cake.

Now, I don't think they make NA A4s, but if they did, the 318 might be faster because of the weight differance.

Only reason why I asked is bcs if you would pay attention is that they both have 1.8liter engines, and that they are both european cars. Other than that, there is nothing much to my qustion!!!

the race wouldnt even be funny... dont they make a 2.7 a4 or something like that? and they make the 1.8 too... the s4 was a biturbo monster, but they now make them with a 400hp 8 cylinder

Yeah yeah, I know that. But just because they have the same engine size doesn't mean anything....the Audi has a turbo......and that's why it wins.
