OK so i have been unable to find ANYONE that is willing to race me in my M3. Well today i was driving to the gym and messing around with the ASC. I was testing the limits and learning when to make sure it is ON! LOL almost killed myself coming out of a parking lot with the ASC off. traffic was coming so i knew i was gonna hafta do some speed shifting. with the ASC on i lose power during a speed shift so i turned it off. So as i tear outta the lot to my rght the back end just goes and i start a slide, I gain control with careful feathering of the accelerator. All those years of off road rallys pay off let me tell ya. Note to self, when tearing out of a lot KEEP THE ASC ON! LOL k so now i am just cruising to the gym. I pull up to a stop sign and this little red civic that was behind me moves into the lane beside me. I just know he is gonna want to try me. I was just thinking, nah he isn't that dumb. I used to race civics and i wouldn't even try an M with a stock civic. Anyways i roll through the stop sign and just accelerate as normal. he guns his civic and as i am shifting casually into second i hear his engine red line and notice that his front bumper is now at my rear bumper. Poor little engine was about to pop. so i casually accelerate and by the time i shift into third he is two car lengths behind me. so it was quite an empty kill for me and my M. Hopefully i can find someone that will challenge me in a race.

I can understand the frustration you would have but at least you are getting a challenge. You are becoming a better driver by racing guys that make you work for your kill. I would rather have to work for it then have it handed to me. that's like fishing with grenades. :P

Yeah that. It's better to have the challenge definitely... You get lazy when it's handed to you.
On the other hand... You get a LOT of fish with grenades...

Chant do you have an E46 or an E36? I get people to try me in my E36 M3 all the time, and from the outside it looks totally stock. So far I have three Mustang GTs (prior to 2005) a Trans Am and a few Audi owners wishing they went with a different German nameplate. No one in a Civic has tried to race me yet, hopefully soon enough though!

I have a 98 M3 sedan, Hellrot red. There is no way you can miss me coming down the street LOL. The only encounter i had with a mustang was one that gunned his engine as he was going around the corner i was turning in the opposite direction as me. I know i don't drive her that often as she only has 57K on her but when i do bring her out i get no response. Most of the imports just watch me go by, even the modded ones. The only other person that wanted to race me was this black M5 on the day i picked mine up. I am not even silly enough to contemplate that one. Mine is stock on the outside as well so i dunno but i guess people here in austin tx know what they can and can't beat. mebbe i need to take a road trip to san antonio to get some action

Ah... I wish people over here were less testosterone happy. EVERYONE wants to race me ever since I got the car...
And about the fish - it's free tuna salad. It's ALL edible!
