18Years old...02 M3 or 04 Z4.. this was the decision i was faced with making a month ago..... tough huh! I was feelin anxious one day and talked my mom into throwing down on a bimmer with me... sooo i just wanted everyones opinion on what THEY would have done in my position... take the 02 or 03 M3 or enjoy that new car smell and take the 04 z4 right off the lot... used verse new.. sacrafice that new car smell for a few extra HP... hmmm iunno i do like the convertible lol
depends on the z4 in my opinion, if its the 3 liter, id take the z4 over the used m3 just because im weird and like new cars like that. and the roadster kicks ass
otherwise, id take the m3

your 18 years old.... way to young for a new car like that....even a M3 like that is too much...
save your money and get something a little cheaper dude....you have your whole life to get a brand new bimmer of the show room floor ( who would want to do that tho imo)...
E30-E36.....stay in that area.. besides I think a E36 would be way better for someone your age, plus it looks badass compaired to newer bimmers.....
edit: forgot you already got the car.... M3 woulda been 100% better... didnt u say a mustang beat a while back???? M3 woulda owned that ford...........

I'd get the M3. But another good choice is my car, an 01 M Roadster with the same motor as the M3. I'm not fond of the new Z4. M Roadsters from 01-02 will have the M3 motor.
I'd get the M3. No question which is a more competent driving machine.
I suppose you'd have to go with your mum's final decision as she is the key to the deal.... either that or just spend your 'half' on a car (E36M3^) you don't have to share.
If I were in your position, and 3 years ago I was, I'd put the money into a house and move out.

BTW: the difference between a Z4 and an M3 is a world apart, not just 'a few hp'.
