Tonight I am a member twice over! So I left my backpack in my friend's mom's 525. He lives in Moorpark, which is about 25-30 miles away from my house in Northridge. I needed it because it has my books in it and I have an exam tomorrow. So I sorta speed out there. I top out at 130 or so and cruise for a few minutes at 115. It takes me about 30 minutes door to door, 20 minutes on the highway and about 5 minutes on the street. Then I'm coming home, I'm again cruising at about 110 or so most of the way except for a hill where there was a clog from all the people with slow ass cars goin uphill. I got pissed off and antsy so when traffic cleared going down the hill, I just stepped on it. I started at about 85mph ( a crawl compared to 110) and dropped from 5th to 4th and laid my foot down HARD. The red boost needle shot to full stock boost (about 12PSI) and because of the downgrade, redline and 105mph came up very rapidly. 5th gear proved to be quite a bit slower in accelleration, with each 10mph increment coming up slower and slower. I'd say that it took a good 30 seconds to hit the magic 150 mark. This is past the last marking on the speedometer, which is at 145. I was a full increment down from there, so it may have even been 155 indicated but I can't be sure, so I'll just round it down to 150.
I've also gone 150 in my old project car, which was a 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo.
