It's been quite a while since we've heard or seen anything on BMW's upcoming M5 model. Until now.
Dropping just after several debuts at the Geneva Auto Show, BMW is quickly changing gears from a focus on green transportation and in-car technology back to something it has always done best – high-performance.
Shown from numerous angles in this teaser video, there's also a short schpeel from BMW M boss Dr. Kay Segler explaining how at the push of a button the M5 will transform from a serious sedan to a real sports car.
Rumored to use BMW's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine making well over 550-hp, the new M5 is also expected to get some hybrid elements, including a KERS-style regenerative braking system.
The official debut is still a long ways off, however, with the new M5 set to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show this September.
