WHY IS THE FORUM

Ok so i get this pop up that says install yada yada to view the contents of this page...do you trust content from "BMW-FORUMS" so i click yes being the idiot who trusted the people who managed this site....NOW I GET A POP UP EVERY GODDAMN TIME I MAKE A MOVE IN THE FORUM JACK HOLE!! THANKS FOR NOTHING.... now i gotta find that crap and get it off....

You have spyware/malware on your computer, go download spybot search and destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) and ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and run both of them.

If that fails, then you'll need to download hijackthis (http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html) and run it, save the results and post them here, I will help you to remove the problem.

Bmw-forums.com does not and will never put advertising on our site that installs anything on anyone's computer. The only advertisers we use are google and vibrantmedia, both of which are harmless javascript ads.

Didnt mean to flash on you i just got irratated...but BMW forums was THE only thing open when it occured and it said it was FROM BMW forums...oh well i did a system restore to right before midnight and it solved it all...we have a spyware tool here at intel and it notifies you where it was from and it was stated as from BMW-Forums.com just food for thought...thanks

Ohh that would suck.... major suckage if the sigs went away... they are fun... expression of ones work for others with the same hobby and love to check out and see... if that were the case... posting links... movies... photos... ect would have to cease too...

I have a small solution to your problem. I use an ad-blocker called StopZilla that works awesome, but costs money(9$), because they banned all the fake ID's, but its worth it. it just asks you if you want that pop up to come up, you click No, and it will never come up again, unless you want it to, then you open your 'black list' and click Allow.....

its really easy, and its awesome. i was in your situation a few tiems, then stopzilla saved me, thank you stop zilla::commercial theme song::.

i work at intel dude. lol we have one of the strongest firewalls i have ever seen...all you have to do is if you get a software install window(not an ad) from the forums just click "no i dont not trust content from BMW-Forums" the end...problem solved no need to lose sigs...

For those of you saying you aren't getting it, remember that it only seems to happen if you aren't logged in. Once you log in it stops, at least for me. It's annoying as all hell ghead

regardless we still need to find out what it is and get rid of it, and if that includes sigs all togther then so be it, we can't have crap like this happening.
