V-power spam?

Anyone else gotten an email from admin@bimmerwerkz.com for shell v-power gas.



I did a bit of research and found it does appear to have come from
verticalscope.com which is the parent company of bimmerwerkz. (Wonder when that happened or if it has always been like that actually.)

But I don't recall signing up or opting in for such commercial things to be sent to me from the site.

Agreeing to receive emails from us was a part of your sign up process, but all that aside, this was an error made by somebody in our office. In future you MAY receive emails from some of our sponsors, but they will have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. This will ensure you don't receive any more if you don't want them. Thanks for your patience and support. This one was our mistake. Cheers!

I can understand a mistake and that's cool, but the user cp calls them "notices" where I can allow or disallow messages from administrators. A notice to me would be "Hey, we're having a swap meet" or "hey, there's a festival somewhere" but this is just plain advertising.

It was supposed to be a newsletter. The advertising went out erroneously, hence the lack of the unsubscribe link. It was a BIG mistake on our guy's part.
