ok, i stole the format off of maxbimmer. its based on a manual gear box if you cant tell. i have also since removed the pip (blue blocks) option.
this is sort of a trial thing, but ill see how it works out.

Would you please post a list of each cut off point(# of posts) for each gear.

I assume like the old system (25, 100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000=make your own)

What comes after 5th gear... my car is only a 5 gearbox. I'm gonna redline in 5th before my holidays in France next week!

i didnt like the blue blocks, they were confusing and really didnt do much except confuse and annoy... im not gonna tell you what the gears are, just because posting were the cut offs for each gear will only promote post whoring. id rather try to stay away from that if i can.... the gears go from neutral to 6th gear.

I like the blue boxes, too.
Instead of blue boxes why not use a gear shift knob graphic? One for each gear level.
