New Forum Software - Post Comments/Report Problems Here
Yo,
I imagine several people will have something to say about the new forum, so I figured I'd just start. I recommend that we consolidate all such posts in this one thread.
Personally, I would have preferred to keep the old interface. I figure that we gained something in terms of performace, but I think visually it was already alright. Anyways, do we not have a "quick reply" option anymore?
Edit: .... well, now it's there. Maybe I activated it while playing around in the User CP.

I would suggest that the default viewing settings would be to show signatures and avatars. They add to the site visually, and newcomers may be misled to think that the site has a boring look if they don't dig around enough as a result of not knowing these things are there. Turning them on was easy, though.

I liked the old interface. This interface, seems... more basic. The fonts are huge (at least on my comp) it looks like my resolution is turned way down while looking at the forum (my resolution is set at 1920x1200). It lookds less impressive to me, looks older... but functionally it seems about the same to me so far.
edit: I have all the options turned on for what to see in a post, but HTML code still shows up as off and I get find a way to get it turned on. Any ideas? Most peoples sigs are all messed up, namely mine, whereas before they worked just fine.
I like it on top much much better, then you dont get the sidebar taking up so much room. You can see pics alot better like this..
Also.. i think the setup is really really nice (10x better than before) but it REALLY needs some different colors, i would love to see something darker, all these light colors are annoying at night.
What happened to the ability to search for your last few posts? And I agree that the old way was great. Why change a good thing?
Click your username, then user profile, then there are two choices below - show user's posts, and show user's threads. Much much better searching system too.
