well right now I personally don't think there is enough regulars to have all the sections again, like Fox says, it was empty. As we start to grow again and forums fill up I will slowly be adding all the old sections.
However, my opinions could be wrong, if they are let me know.

I agree we need to regain some fo teh lost content ('specially the FAQ section), but that has nothing to do with this post, so I digress.
The different model section would break the group up, however, by using the 'view new posts' link you get a view of all the posts that have been added to since you last visit, in effect bringing you to the 'hot' topics regardless of what section they are in. Catch what I'm saying? Considering there are differences between the model types it would make sense to split the sections into e30, e36, e46, etc. As Cam and Fox pointed out though, some sections have multiple posts all the time whereas other sections grow mold and tumble weeds.
In short - keep it as is until there is a need to split everything up, then do so as needed.
However, smileys are in order. Were the smiley .zip files lost?

When you do split it out, you should start by keeping all 3 series together, before you break it out to E30, E36, E46 etc. Same with the 5's (which you did anyway)

as i said to ski the other day, this site has some thing special that a lot of other sites dont have and that is a none commercial "family" atmosphere. when you post and read on here it doesnt feel like a load of strangers all over the world but a close community.......
if i read it right there is only 342 members here which really isnt a lot compared to some sites, i personally think having different sections for models at this time will loose the magic that this site has.
ps
we do need more smiles, espcially that one of the face puking.
As Cam and Fox pointed out though, some sections have multiple posts all the time whereas other sections grow mold and tumble weeds.
thats true. i think we some more sections, but not quite where it used to be yet cuz of that reason. maybe the "other cars" section could come back, and possibly the 3 series(all generations) and 5 series sections would be a good idea. like previously mentioned.
